Robert Grüttner studied art and design at the Florida State University, he resides in San Francisco with his wife and a pair of feral cats named Bart and Mandy.

"The Urban Cat series allows me to combine two of my favorite images, cats and San Francisco, into a piece of art that captures the mystery of both.

Many people may not realize that there are very large feral cat populations within the urban centers of most cities and San Francisco is no exception. Both my cats are feral and were adopted from the street and serve as inspiration for the artwork you see on this site."
